When are you open?

WE ARE OPEN SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS FROM 12:00-5:00, CLOSED 5:00-6:00 FOR STAFF BREAK, OPEN 6:00-8:30.

Is it Custard or ice cream?

While custard is a form of ice cream, not all ice cream is considered custard. The ratio of duck eggs in our recipes qualifies our product as custard. 

What’s with the ducks?

Our organically fed, pasture raised ducks provide the fresh eggs that give our frozen custard its uniquely creamy texture. 

Is Spotted Duck peanut safe?

No peanuts are used in our kitchen at Spotted Duck. We do however use tree nuts such as almonds, hazelnuts, and walnuts. You can refer to your allergen guide here.

Are there Gluten Free options?

Most of our ice cream is made without gluten because we keep our recipes simple to let flavors shine. Gluten free cones are available. You can refer to our allergen guide here. Gluten free cones are available, but we are not a gluten-free facility if you have severe sensitivity.

Can we bring our dog?

Dogs are allowed and encouraged! Don’t be surprised if the person taking your order reaches out for some pets. We ask that you please keep your dog leashed during your visit. 

Can we feed the ducks?

Yes! Ask for duck sprinkles at the pickup window. We allow one cup per person to ensure the ducks don’t get too full. 

Do you offer gift cards?

We do offer gift cards. They can be purchased at the ordering window, or on our website under the "shop" tab.

In the event of rain is there covered seating?

We do have limited covered seating available. Dancing in the rain is encouraged.   

Is the ice cream pasteurized

Yes, the ice cream is pasteurized. 

Are all of the ingredients organic?

The vast majority of our ingredients are either certified organic or grown following the same guidelines. What this means for you is the healthiest ice-cream you can find that actually tastes good.

What eco-friendly practices do you have at the farm?

We encourage composting at the farm. All unfinished ice cream, of which there is very little, is turned into protein rich soil to be sold back to local farmers to enhance their crops. We also offer glass and metal dishes for all ice cream consumed on site to avoid single use containers. It is our goal to produce as little waste as possible.

Do you ship nationwide?

We do not ship nationwide at this time. It is our goal to offer this in the near future.
