The Hoover legacy is carried on by Spotted Duck’s chief ice cream maker and recipe developer, Robert Meldrum. Robert began his ice cream training in London and later developed irresistibly delicious flavor combinations for New York City’s Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. When Robert discovered the Way of the Duck Egg, he traded city life for the farm and has never looked back. Today he brings his expertise and worldly inspirations to every hunk of brownie, crunch of meringue, and spoonful of fruit compote in our ice cream. We look forward to him applying his creative mind to more unique new flavors inspired by the bounty of the Finger Lakes.
